How to Remove Followers
Open the Instagram app on your mobile device.
Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner.
Tap on the "Followers" count near the top of your profile page.
Scroll down to the ALL Followers list or use the search bar to locate the follower you wish to remove.
Tap the three dots (⋮) or X next to their name and select Remove Follower.
A pop up box will appear asking you to confirm. Tap Remove again
Set Your Account To Private
Tap your profile picture, or icon, in the bottom right of your screen.
Tap the menu bar (3 lines) in the top left
Scroll down and under Who can see your content, and tap Account Privacy
Tap the toggle to make your account private.
Tap Switch to private to confirm
NOTE: Once your account is set to private, anyone not following you will have to send you a follower request.
Approve or deny a follower request on Instagram
Tap the notifications (heart icon) in the top right of your mobile device.
Tap Follow requests.
Tap Confirm to approve a request. Click Delete to deny a request.
NOTE: Business profiles can't be set to private, so if you'd like to make your account private, you'll need to switch back to a personal profile. Unlike personal accounts, business or public profiles can’t approve or deny follow requests, but you can still block followers if necessary.
How to Report A Fake Profile
Go to the fake profile or search
Tap the three dots (•••) in the top-right corner of their profile.
Select “Report”.
Choose “Report Account”.
Then select “It’s pretending to be someone else”.
Choose who they’re pretending to be (you, someone you know, a celebrity, etc.).
How to Block Accounts
Tap Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Tap Menu (3 lines) in the top right.
Scroll down and under the Who can see your content section, tap Blocked.
To add someone to your blocked accounts list, tap the plus sign in the top right corner
Search for the person you’d like to block
Tap Block to the right of their name.
Tap Block at the bottom to confirm.
