Open the Facebook App
Tap menu at the top right corner for Android users or tap your photo at the bottom right for iPhone/iPad
Tap the gear icon at the top right next to the magnifying glass
Scroll down to audience and visibility section
Tap how people can find and contact you
Set your privacy settings
Recommended Settings:
Who can send you friend requests? Friends of Friends
Who can see your friends list? Only Me
Who can look you up using the email address you provided? Only Me
Who can look you up using the phone number you provided? Only Me
Do you want search engines outside of Facebook to link to your profile? No
Another option, to ensure no contact from a specific user (s) is to use the blocking feature if needed.

Tap the gear icon at the top right next to the magnifying glass
Scroll down to audience and visibility section and tap blocking
Tap the + button and a search bar will appear
Type the name or email you want to block on Facebook into the search bar
