How to Manage your Facebook Post Activity

This article will show you how to manage your activity posts through your mobile Facebook App and recommended settings.

To archive your posts

  • Open the Facebook App

  • Tap menu at the top right corner for Android users or tap your photo at the bottom right for iPhone/iPad

  • Tap the gear icon at the top right next to the magnifying glass

  • Scroll down to your activity section and tap activity log and tap manage your posts

  • From here, you can tap Filters. This is optional. You can filter by:

    • Categories

    • Date

    • People

  • Once you find the post you want tap the menu on the right

  • Tap move to archive

You can also move posts that’s in Archive to Trash.

  • In Archive, tap the box next to the post

  • Tap Trash at the bottom. Tap Move to Trash to confirm

  • Once you've moved the posts to Trash, it'll be deleted after 30 days and can't be restored.

Restore your posts from Archive and trash

After you’ve moved a post to your Archive, it’ll only be visible to you. Once you have moved your posts to trash you have 30 days to restore the post before its permanently deleted. When you restore your post, it will be visible to the same audience you chose before you archived your post.

  • Tap the settings which is the gear icon at the top right next to the magnifying glass

  • Scroll down to your activity section and tap activity log

  • At the top of your activity log, tap Trash or Archive

  • From here, you can:

    • Restore your posts to where it was when you posted it:

      • Tap the box next to the post

      • Then tap Restore at the bottom.

      • Tap Restore to confirm
