How to join a Zoom meeting

When you receive a zoom invite, it is possible to join the meeting without needing to create an account. From a laptop, go to www.zoom.us and click “join a meeting” in the top right corner:

Next, enter the meeting ID listed in the invite. This is usually a 10 or 11 digit long number. If a passcode is required it will ask you to enter it next. The passcode is usually a 6 digit number and should also be listed in the invite you received.

When joining a zoom meeting from your phone, you will need to download the zoom app first from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store

Once downloaded, open the app and click Join Meeting:

Once you click the join meeting button, you can enter the meeting ID and type your name. Typing your name here will be how you are seen in the meeting, so that people can identify you:

Now that you have the Zoom app installed on your phone, next time you want to join a meeting you can just click on the link provided in the invite and it will automatically open the Zoom app for you.
