Managing your Zoom Account - Android Device

Profile Photo - A profile photo is useful when you are not using your camera. This allows for others to know who is all in the meeting.

  • Sign into the Zoom app

  • Tap more at the bottom of the screen

  • Tap the arrow in the top right corner in your Profile Photo box

  • Tap profile photo

  • A pop up box will appear: choose whether you want to take a new photo or pick from your existing photos

  • Pick or take your new photo and crop it, then hit Done

Audio - Ensure Zoom has access to your phone's microphone.

  • Go to Settings

  • Tap Apps

  • Scroll down and Tap the zoom app or type zoom in the search bar at the top

  • Tap permissions

  • Tap microphone

  • Tap allow only while using the app

Virtual Background & Video Filters - You can add a fun background and filter to your zoom. You can add to your virtual background with frames and filters that change the color or turn yourself into a character with video filters.

Android Backgrounds:

  • Sign into the Zoom mobile app.

  • While in a Zoom meeting, tap More

  • Tap Background and Effects.

  • Tap the background you would like to apply or tap + to upload a new image. The background will be automatically applied.

  • When finished selecting a background, Tap the two arrows facing each other at top left of screen to return to the meeting

Android Filters:

  • While in a Zoom meeting, Tap more

  • Tap Background and Effects

  • Then select the Video Filters.

  • Tap the filter you wish to use.

  • (Optional) Tap the Apply to all meetings option to continue using this filter for all meetings joined on your device.

  • When finished selecting a filter, Tap the two arrows facing each other at top left of screen to return to the meeting

Noise Cancellation – It can be distracting when you can hear someone typing in a meeting. Zoom found a way to suppress any background noises such as keyboard typing.

Android:

  • Sign into the Zoom app

  • Tap more

  • Underneath settings, tap meetings

  • Inside Meeting settings, scroll down and tap the toggle next to β€˜Use Original Audio' to off.

  • Turing off the Original Sound means, noise suppression is switched ON during meetings on Zoom

How to share your screen

  • Sign in to the Zoom mobile app

  • Start or join a Zoom meeting

  • swipe the bottom menu to the left

  • Tap Share

  • Pop up box appears, scroll down and tap screen

  • Pop up box appears and will say, start recording or casting zoom

  • Tap start now

  • Once you are done sharing your screen, Tap stop share at the bottom of your screen
